Sustainability through local execution

World of Retail Services is a pure service provider: we install, remodel and maintain retail spaces. We do not manufacture furniture, fixtures or displays. That distinction decides what we can honestly influence — and what we cannot.

Local teams instead of flown-in crews
Our biggest lever is structural, not a programme. We work with more than 1,800 local teams in around 80 countries, with our own crews in all 50 US states and Canada. A store in Ohio is fitted by a team from Ohio, not by a crew flown in from Europe. Every rollout executed locally avoids the flights, long-distance transport and hotel nights that a centralised model would need.

What we control — and what we do not
Materials, furniture and packaging are specified and produced by our clients and their shopfitters. We do not select them, and we will not claim credit for choices that are not ours. What we do control is how a rollout is executed: how many journeys it takes, how much is moved, and how much ends up in a skip on site.

How we work

• We bundle deliveries and site visits so that each location needs fewer journeys.
• We reuse transport packaging and pallets across a rollout wherever the client’s logistics allow it.
• We separate waste on site and return removed fixtures into the client’s disposal or reuse chain instead of deciding for them.
• We document every site, so that a second visit to fix a defect stays the exception.

No claims we cannot back
We hold no sustainability certification, and we do not publish carbon figures we have not measured. Where a client needs reporting, we supply the data we actually have: journeys, distances, number of sites and waste volumes per project.

We work to the environmental, waste and labour regulations of every country we operate in, and to the supplier standards our clients set for their own programmes.
